War Thunder: Fun Moments, Endless Bull: A Ground & Air Rant

Heya everybody, it’s me, AliasRZ, with our second summer gaming blog post. These hobby ones are gonna run longer than the usual Room Zero stuff, so buckle up. I’ve had War Thunder installed for years, but only started playing it seriously last year. I’ve been grinding the ground tree and dipping into aviation, mainly with China, Italy, and France. The game has its enjoyable moments… but holy Moley, it’s bullshit in a lot of ways. I’ll stick to Ground (RB + Arcade) and Aviation (Arcade only). However, correct me if I get any info wrong in the comments, considering I’m not knowledgeable about tanks or aircraft. (nobody plays navel btw…

HU Housing Sign-Up: Why Is This Process Such a Pain?

Heya, everybody, with another day of summer vacation from AliasRZ. This isn’t a video game entry; however, it’s something regarding the school. Specifically, their absolutely brain-dead student housing application process. The issue I have is: why is it so damn annoying to sign up for a form just for the chance at student housing? Harrisburg Uni is so shitty with their housing process. So, as a refresher for anybody, we have to fill out two forms. The first one, we put our info, preferences, what kind of housing we want, all that. The second one, which they made mandatory sometime last year, goes to PMI if you’re trying for ROM.…

NFS Pre-Black Box Era: Nostalgia Trip or Setup Nightmare?

Heyo, everybody, it’s me, AliasRZ, in the middle of their summer break, struggling to find a job. But we’re not focusing on that today. Simply because it’s the middle of break and I have a bunch of free time, I’m focusing on making two new categories. One focuses on things happening during break, while the other focuses on basic hobbies such as gaming. Now let’s get into it. Simply, I’m a person who, during my later high school years, became interested in the nfs games. Started with Underground 1 (yeah, yeah, basic choice, sue me), then worked my way to The Run, skipping the Shift duology and only playing a…

PA Place vs ROM: One Year of Dorm Hell: My Final Verdict

Wellcome back, everybody, or rather, Guten Abend(flexing my basic German Skills lol). It’s me, AliasRZ, back to posting some content after a month of nothing. \^o^/Simply, School year’s wrapping, I’m packing my stuff to bounce this week, and after surviving a full year split between PA Place and ROM… yeah, we’re doing the comparison. PA Place – Year One Chaos So during my first year of Harrisburg UNIVERSITY, I was put into PA Place in a two-bedroom dorm living with three other people(Yes, it was a hassle lol). During move-in week, the fridge immediately shit itself and started leaking water everywhere. We submitted a repair order and eventually scored a…

Esports at HU: Solid Start, But Kinda… Basic?

Heya roomies, it’s AliasRZ, back from the dead after weeks of not posting. Today I want to talk about the esports aspect of Harrisburg University. Everyone knows we’ve got our own HU Storm teams, esports majors, and open classes for anyone who wants in regardless of your major. At our school, our esports team plays the usual stuff, such as Valorant, SSBU, Rocket League, and many other popular games on the market. But damn, it gets repetitive fast when that’s literally the menu. Kinda disappointing from a STEM school that prides itself on innovation and cutting-edge stuff. I’ve played games with growing (or at least dedicated) esports scenes that feel…

❄️ Back at it, Roomies. Harrisburg strikes again.

It’s me, AliasRZ, back after an eventful and extremely frustrating day navigating the mess that is Harrisburg in the snow. So, just recently, I set up a P.O. Box for ups so I can get my packages whenever, without the bull of dealing with the school. So, like many people at HU, I don’t have a car or anyone to drive me around, unfortunately. So, I recently set up a P.O. Box at UPS to avoid the absolute circus that is our campus mail system. Simple enough, right? Like many HU students, I don’t have a car or a ride, so I took an Uber after classes. Got to UPS,…

📦 ROM Package Retrieval aka Modern-Day Side Quest

Happy New Year, my fellow readers. ^_^ I haven’t been active lately (my bad lol), but I’m back to posting every once in a blue moon. So, getting into the story today: like many HU students, I went back to my family for the long winter break and didn’t have to deal with package delivery chaos or cooking fatigue compared to cough, cough ROM. For once, things were normal. Since I take Amtrak and don’t want to haul a bunch of luggage through those cramped aisles (seriously, just look at a photo online of the train’s interior (* ̄︿ ̄)), I did what made sense; I mailed two packages to campus…

“New Hire at GameStop (a.k.a. My Descent Into Retail Absurdity)”

Welcome back to another post by yours truly, AliasRZ. As mentioned in my last post, I hadn’t written in a while—mainly because of school, work, and general “life being life” energy. So let’s talk about the thing currently eating my free time and my kneecaps: my first job. After a year of applying, being ghosted, rejected, and ignored by every company under the sun, I finally got hired. At a GameStop.Minimum wage.Retail starter pack unlocked. I was hyped. Retail experience? Finally earning some money on the side? Sounds like a win. …Or so I thought. 🧠 Day 1: “Training” Training in quotes because really, it was me standing behind the…

🚌 HU Shuttle: Grocery Run or Budget Horror Film?

Welcome back, everyone. AliasRZ here—finally—after another long wait.(Yeah… I know. I’ve been juggling school, work, and a sprinkle of good ol’ procrastination. Sue me. 😤) But I’m back—and I want to talk about something that should be helpful… but instead feels like a punishment: the HU Shopping Shuttle. 🛒 Great on Paper, Terrible in Execution So here’s the idea:Every couple of weeks, the university runs a shuttle bus to a nearby shopping plaza so students without cars can grab groceries and supplies.Sounds useful, right? Well… They send one regular-sized yellow school bus—the kind you’d expect to see outside a suburban elementary school. Not a city bus.Not a coach bus.Not a shuttle…
